Wickedly Chic
December 2006
Product Review
Wickedly Chic writes... "The Naikid line has some unusual and delicious fragrance combos to choose from. My favorite is the lemongrass & neem scent. This soap smells great and washes like a dream. The delightful Butter soap is fabulous too. Naikid considers this a pure and raw soap. The Butter soap has no added scent and is loaded with illipe butter, kokum butter, sal butter, shea butter, avocado oil and virgin coconut oil. Whew! If you need moisture, this one will do it for you quite nicely. Be naked, adore naked and shop Naikid."

Modish Blog
October 2006
Product Review
Jena of the Modish blog writes... "Next time you hop in the shower, you'll definitely want to get Naikid first- Naikid, a healthful, handmade soap company is just the ticket for a refreshing cleansing experience...I received a bar of the "butter" soap...It contains a host of butters that are nourisihing for the skin, like kokum and shea butter, along with skin softening avocado and coconut oil. The best part is, it is unscented, which is good for me so as not to compete with the smell of my lotion and perfume, and especially good for boys, like mine, who don't like foo foo la la smelly soaps and would rather wash with water alone than something that smells "girly." Naikid stocks many simple, non-frilly soaps in either no scent or light refreshing scents that are boy approved. Check out the entire line of natural soaps and find something that works for the whole family! (even your dog!)"

Botanical Elements™ Trade Association
October 2004
Louder than Words - Trade Association Leads By Example
Melissa Naval has always subscribed to the belief that actions speak louder than words – and that these actions can inspire others to follow in her earth-friendly example. In illustration of this concept, Melissa Naval of Naikid, Inc. has joined fellow members of Botanical Elements™ Trade Association (BETA) to promote their products and their environmentally-conscious philosophy.
Botanical Elements was founded in April of 2002, in order to promote and market businesses which produce products created using botanical elements -- such as herbs, dried flowers, and pure essential oils. "We recognize the implications to our bodies, home and planet when they are exposed to chemicals and products that pollute our air and water,“ explained Naval. “BETA is comprised of companies that manufacture or sell products such as "true" aromatherapy, natural candles, herbal body care, handmade soap, and products using botanical ingredients. Many Members also offer supplies, raw materials, or services related to the natural products industry," she added.
In addition to their market segment, the members share a common goal – to work together to educate consumers as to their alternatives to using synthetic ingredients -- such as using pure essential oils instead of synthetic fragrance oils. As a group, Botanical Elements promotes the ecological and health benefits of using non-synthetic ingredients. Their national ads can be seen in a variety of publications, including The Herb Quarterly.
BETA’s current project, aptly titled “Answering The Call”, has partnered them with Collective Good -- a company that generates funds for charities through cell phone recycling. Mobile phones contain hazardous materials such as mercury, cadmium, nickel and gallium arsenide, and can contaminate ground water if discarded in landfills. Donated phones are kept out of landfills, are either refurbished, or scrapped for parts. All portable phones, pagers, and PDA’s will be accepted.
BETA’s efforts will support The Sierra Club, America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization. BETA member businesses have set a goal to collect 1000 devices by the end of the year. All donations are taxdeductible.

From Nature With Love™
September 2004
Soap Donations Wanted By From Nature With Love™ To Help Domestic Abuse Shelter
From Nature With Love is pleased to help coordinate handcrafted soap donations to benefit the women and children sheltered at the Prudence Crandall Center, a non-profit Connecticut organization dedicated to serving victims of domestic abuse.
Naikid, Inc. generously contributed several bars of soap for the benefit of the women and children living temporarily in the shelter. The women and children, in many cases, have suffered monumental abuse and arrive at the shelter with only the clothes on their backs. Prudence Crandall Center will organize the soap and other donations into baskets to give to the women when they arrive at the shelter. Although nothing can camoflauge the pain these victims have endured, sharing something that is so necessary yet beautiful and luxurious will act as an expression of compassion.
