On Thursday, August 4, from 3-7pm, downtown Long Valley will be bustling with activity. That’s because 20 Schooley’s Mountain Road will be host to the grand opening of the Long Valley Green Market. The best of the area’s vegetables and fruits, meat, flowers, cheese, and baked goods will be there, as well as local artisans selling their handmade wares.
These are genuine local farmers and craftspeople selling the highest quality products around, and there’s something for everyone! We’ve got:
There’s also fun to be had at the event, with a live performance from the Valley Music Center and free wine and snacks. Stop by the market on the way home from work, in transit to or from a sporting event, or to pick up something tasty for dinner. Get some meat to grill over the weekend, linger over the aromatic handmade soaps, or snag some freshly baked bread.
Long Valley Green Market will be held bi-weekly through the end of October: August 4, August 18, September 1, September 15, September 29, October 13, and October 27. Vendors primarily sell products that they grow or make themselves, with an emphasis on local, sustainable agriculture. These are our farmers producing good food, so come out and show your support!
